[Payroll](https://help.jointimecloud.com/payroll?hsLang=en) # How to Configure MicrOpay Payroll Options ## If your company uses MicrOpay as its payroll provider, Timecloud offers provider-specific options that control how timesheets are exported. These options live in the Options tab within your MicrOpay payroll settings. Getting There 1. Go to **Payroll** in the left sidebar. 2. Select your **MicrOpay** provider. 3. Click **Options** in the provider settings menu. --- Available Options ### Remove API Pay Type Filtering - Toggle this **on** to include all MicrOpay rate codes (including Additions and Deductions) in the **Allowance** pay code mapping dropdown. - When **off** (default), only codes categorised as allowance-type appear in the dropdown. **Tip:** Enable this if you need to map allowances to MicrOpay Additions or Deductions codes that don't appear in the dropdown by default. ### Export Allowance Applicable Amount as Unit - Toggle this **on** to send the allowance quantity (applicable amount) in the MicrOpay **Unit** field, with rate and value left blank. - When **off** (default), allowance lines export with the rate and value pre-calculated by Timecloud. **Tip:** Enable this if your MicrOpay setup maintains its own allowance rates and you only need Timecloud to report the number of units earned per allowance. ### Send Time/Half and Double Overtime with Ordinary Hours - Toggle this **on** to export overtime mapped to **Time/Half** or **Double** on the same MicrOpay **Hours by Rate** transaction as ordinary hours. - When **off** (default), all overtime is exported as separate Non Standard Additions lines. - Overtime mapped to custom pay codes (other than Time/Half or Double) is always exported as Non Standard Additions, regardless of this setting. **Tip:** Enable this if your MicrOpay payroll file expects Time/Half and Double overtime to appear in the Hours by Rate columns alongside ordinary hours. ### Combine Matching Timesheet Transactions - Toggle this **on** to merge timesheet lines that share the same employee, job/cost account, and pay code into a single row for the pay period. - When **off** (default), each day's timesheet data is exported as separate rows with the individual date worked. - When enabled, merged rows leave the **Date Worked** field blank so MicrOpay uses the **Period End Date** instead. - Leave lines are never combined — each leave entry is always exported individually. - Lines with different job/cost accounts are kept separate, even if the pay code and rate match. **Tip:** Enable this to reduce the number of transaction rows in your MicrOpay import file. This is useful when your payroll team prefers a summarised view per pay period rather than a day-by-day breakdown. --- How Changes Are Saved - Each toggle saves automatically when you switch it on or off. - A confirmation message appears when the setting is updated. --- Good to Know - The **Options** tab only appears for payroll providers that support provider-specific settings. Currently, this applies to MicrOpay with the Awards engine. - The **Combine Matching Timesheet Transactions** toggle only appears when the Awards engine is enabled for your company. - These settings affect how your payroll export file is generated. Always run a test export after changing an option to confirm the output matches what your payroll system expects. - These options were previously located in **Settings \> Awards**.
