# How to Disconnect a Payroll Provider

## If you need to remove a payroll connection, you can disconnect a provider from within the payroll dashboard.

#### Disconnecting

1. Go to **Payroll** > select the provider you want to disconnect.
2. Click **Disconnect** at the bottom of the side menu.
3. Confirm the disconnection when prompted.

Disconnecting is permanent. All employee mappings and pay code mappings will be removed. You can reconnect at any time, but you'll need to set up all mappings again from scratch.
