# How to Get Started with the Roster

## The Roster page is where you build, manage, and publish employee work schedules. Whether you run a small team or a large organisation, the roster gives you a single view of who is working, when, and where.

#### **Opening the Roster**

1. Click **Roster** in the main sidebar menu.

2. The roster opens in **Employee View** by default, showing a scheduling grid with employees as rows and days as columns.

#### **What You Can Do**

- **Assign shifts** to employees by clicking cells or using quick select.
- **Switch views** between Employee View and Shift View.
- **Filter** by department, employee, or shift.
- **Autofill** from shift patterns or copy a previous period.
- **Publish** so your team sees their schedule on the mobile app.
- **Export** as PDF or CSV for external use.

**Tip:** Use the **date range selector** in the top navigation bar to change the period displayed.
