How to Manage Leave on Mobile
The Leave section of the Timecloud mobile app lets you apply for time off, check your balances, and manage blockout dates.
Viewing Leave Applications
Tap the Leave tab to see your leave requests. They are grouped into tabs:

Applying for Leave

Tap the + Apply for Leave button.

Fill in the required details (see below).

Tap Submit to send the request to your manager.
Selecting a Leave Type

Choose from the available leave types, such as:

Annual Leave
-
Sick Leave
-
Holiday
-
Parental Leave
-
And any custom types your company has configured.

Choosing Dates and Duration

Select the start date and end date for your leave.

Choose the duration format:
-
Hours — for partial-day leave
-
Days — for full-day leave
-
Weeks — for extended leave

Checking Your Leave Balance

Your current balance for each leave type is shown on the leave form.

This helps you confirm you have enough leave available before applying.

Adding Comments and Attachments

Use the comments field to add a note for your manager.

Tap Attach to upload a supporting document (e.g. a medical certificate).
Insufficient Leave Balance Warning

If your requested leave exceeds your available balance, a warning is displayed.

You can still submit the request — your manager can approve it with an override if appropriate.
Cancelling a Leave Request

Open the leave request from the Pending or Approved tab.

Tap Cancel Request.

The request is withdrawn and your balance is restored.
Approving or Declining Leave (Managers)
If you are a manager:

Open the Pending tab to see requests from your team.

Tap a request to review the details.

Tap Approve or Decline.

If the employee has insufficient leave, you can choose to override the balance restriction.
Blockout Dates / Availability
Blockout dates let you tell your manager when you are unavailable to work.
Adding a Blockout Date

Tap + icon

Go to the + Blockout section within the Leave tab.

Select the date(s) you are unavailable.

Tap Save.
Repeating Blockout Rules

For recurring unavailability, enable Repeat.
-
Choose a frequency (e.g. every week on Monday).

The blockout will automatically apply to future dates.
Editing and Deleting Blockout Dates

Tap an existing blockout to edit the dates or details.

Tap Delete to remove a blockout entirely.
