How to Navigate the Shifts Page

The Shifts page is your central hub for creating and managing shift templates and recurring shift patterns. Here’s a quick orientation to help you find what you need.

Getting There

  • Click Shifts from the main navigation menu.

What You’ll See

The page is divided into two sections:

  • Shifts — Your library of reusable shift templates. Each template defines start/end times, breaks, colours, and other settings.

  • Shift Patterns — Recurring schedules built from your shift templates (e.g. a two-week rotation).

Active Toggle

  • Each section has an Active toggle at the top.

  • Leave it on to see current, in-use items.

  • Turn it off to view archived (inactive) items.

Quick Actions

  • New Shift — Create a new shift template.

  • New Shift Pattern — Create a new recurring schedule.

  • Search — Type a shift name to filter the list instantly.

  • Sorting — Arrange shifts alphabetically or in a custom drag-and-drop order.
