# How to Sync Leave Balances from Payroll

## If your company has a connected payroll provider that supports leave balances, Timecloud can automatically sync balances.

### **Automatic Sync**

- When enabled, leave balances are automatically synced from your payroll provider each time an admin loads the **Leave** page

### **Manual Sync**

1. Navigate to the **Leave** page as an admin
2. Click the **Update Leave Balances** button in the toolbar
3. The button displays a loading animation while syncing
4. Balances in the **Leave Balance** column update once the sync completes

### **Requirements**

- A payroll provider must be configured in **Settings > Leave**
- The payroll provider must support leave balance syncing
- **Use Leave Balances** must be enabled in settings
