How to Use Offline Mode

Offline mode lets you continue using the Timecloud mobile app even when you have no internet connection. Your data is saved locally and synced automatically when you are back online.

Working Without Internet

When your device loses its internet connection, the app switches to offline mode automatically. The following features remain available:

  • Clock in and clock out

  • Start and end breaks

  • Complete and submit forms

Note: Some features, like viewing roster updates or submitting leave requests, require an active connection.

  • Tap Clock In or Clock Out as you normally would.

  • The app records your time locally with a timestamp.

  • An offline indicator is shown so you know the entry has not yet been uploaded.

  • The entry is queued and will be sent to the server once you are back online.

  • You can complete and submit forms while offline.

  • Attachments (photos, files) are saved locally on your device.

  • Once connectivity is restored, the form and all attachments are automatically uploaded.

Automatic Sync When Back OnlineIMG_8863

  • When your device reconnects to the internet, the app automatically syncs all queued data.

  • This includes clock-in/out records, forms, and attachments.

  • You do not need to take any action — the sync happens in the background.

  • Once synced, the offline indicator is removed and your records appear on the server.

Tip: Make sure to open the app at least once after regaining connectivity to trigger the sync.
