How to Use Payroll Logs

Payroll logs give you full visibility into every sync event between Timecloud and your payroll provider — helping you troubleshoot issues and track activity.

Viewing Logs

  1. Go to Payroll > select your provider > Logs.

  2. The log table shows Timestamp, Status, Message, and Action Type for each entry.

  3. Click column headers to sort results.

  4. Use the paginator at the bottom to navigate through pages.


Filtering Logs

Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow results:

  • Search — Free text search across log messages.

  • Actions — Filter by action type (e.g., Timesheets, Employees, Pay Rates, Leave Balances, Jobs).

  • Date Range — Filter by start and end date.

  • Status — Filter by Info, Warning, or Error.

Click Apply to run your filter, or Clear to reset all filters.
