How to Use the Live Clocked-In Widget

When you clock in through the Timecloud mobile app, a persistent widget appears on your device:

• iPhone — appears as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island (iPhone 14 Pro and later)
• Android — appears as a sticky notification in the notification tray

The widget updates automatically as your clock status changes and disappears when you clock out.

The widget has three visual states:

Clocked In (Working)

• Green card with the Timecloud logo
• Message: "You're clocked in!"
• A live timer counting up your total worked time (break time is excluded)

On a Break

• Purple card with a pause icon
• Message: "You're on a break. Enjoy!"
• A countdown timer showing how much break time remains (if a break allowance is set)

Break Overrun

• Purple card with red text and a red pause icon
• Message: "Break over. Clock back in!"
• A count-up timer showing how long past the allowance you've been

• Clock in → the widget appears automatically
• Start a break → the widget switches to the break countdown
• Return from break → the widget switches back to showing worked time
• Clock out → the widget disappears

You don't need to do anything to activate the widget — it syncs with your clock status in real time.

• iPhone: iOS 16.2 or later. Live Activities must be enabled in Settings → Timecloud → Live Activities.
• Android: Notification permission must be granted to the Timecloud app. You'll be prompted the first time.

• The worked-time timer excludes break time, so it reflects actual hours worked
• The widget automatically reappears if you reopen the app while still clocked in
• If the widget doesn't appear, check that notifications are enabled for the Timecloud app in your device settings
• The widget is only shown on your own device — managers and kiosk devices do not display it
