How to View Award Version History

Every award in Timecloud maintains a version history. This lets you track changes, manage drafts, and control which version is active for payroll.

Where to Find It
  1. Go to Settings > Payroll Rules.
  2. Scroll down to the Pay Rules and Calculations section.
  3. Click View on any award card.
  4. You will see the Version History page for that award.

What You Will See

The version history page displays:

  • Award title at the top
  • Back button to return to the awards list
  • Status filter dropdown — filter versions by status (All, Draft, Live)
  • New Version button — create a new version based on the latest
  • Version table with the following columns:

Available Actions

For Draft Versions

  • Edit — open the configuration wizard to continue editing
  • Copy — create a copy of this version as a new draft
  • Delete — permanently remove the draft (a confirmation dialog will appear)

For Live Versions

  • View — open the configuration wizard in read-only mode
  • Copy — create a copy as a new draft for modification

Creating a New Version
  1. Click New Version.
  2. A new draft version is created, pre-populated with the settings from the most recent active version (or the latest version if none is active).
  3. You are taken to the configuration wizard to make changes.
  4. Edit and publish when ready.

Note: The New Version button is disabled when no versions exist yet. Use Create New from the awards list to start your first version.

Copying a Version
  • Click the Copy icon on any version row.
  • A new draft version is created with all settings copied from the selected version.
  • Use this when you want to create a variation based on a specific older version rather than the latest.

Deleting a Draft Version
  • Click the Delete icon on a draft version row.
  • A confirmation dialog will ask you to confirm.
  • Only draft versions can be deleted. Live versions are permanent records.

Tips
  • Use version comments to document what changed in each version — this makes the history table much more useful.
  • Copy instead of editing when you want to preserve the original version and create a new variation.
  • Filter by status to quickly find draft versions that need attention.
  • New Version always builds on the latest — use Copy if you need to branch from a specific older version.
