# How to View Hours and Cost Forecasts

## Staying on budget starts with visibility. The roster header gives you real-time projected hours and costs so you can adjust before you publish.

#### **Where to Find Hours & Costs**

- **Period totals** appear in the first column header.

- **Per-day totals** appear above each day column.

- Each **employee row** shows that person's rostered hours (and cost if enabled).

**Quantity Totals**

When award rules trigger allowances or currency-based penalties, a Quantity total appears alongside Hours and Costs. This shows the combined count of allowance and penalty units for each day and the full period.

**Detailed Breakdown**

Click the expand button on the Forecast row to see a full breakdown of hours, quantities, and costs by category (ordinary, overtime, paid breaks, leave, mini engagement, rate penalty, allowances, and more).
