Five steps to connect a biometric scanner to the internet:
- Plug the power cord into the back of the scanner and into an electrical outlet.
- Once the scanner is turned on, click the M/OK button to access the menu. For face scanners, select the six dots on the bottom right-hand corner. Once a person has been set up as a super admin, the scanner will be locked, so ensure you have someone with you who has admin access).
- Navigate to COMM.
- If using Ethernet: Pick ethernet and ensure DHCP is turned on. Connect your ethernet cable to the back of the scanner.
- If using Wifi: Choose wireless and the appropriate network to connect to. For finger/palm scanners, use the right arrow key to navigate through the different key characters.
