Connect to Xero

How to connect your Timecloud account to Xero



  • Open the Xero Page using the navigation bar on the left of your screen.

  • Click on the “Connect to Xero” button at the top of the screen.

  • Select your organisation and allow access (note: you can only connect to one company’s payroll at a time).

  • In the Settings Page, select your pay items under the ‘Actions’ column. Click the sync button and ensure the tick is now visible.

  • Navigate to Employees and select the check box for the relevant employees to be synced. Click the sync button on the top right corner.

  • Navigate to Job Tracking and match the 'Job Category' field to the layer of projects set up in Xero. 

  • Match the jobs to tracking categories to push hours against these fields.

  • Navigate to Timesheet, check the payroll ending date and select ‘Publish To Xero’.

  • Navigate to your Xero account to check the new hours.
