Supporting Multiple Levels of Overtime

Our enhanced Overtime functionality now handles multiple overtime levels. This is perfect for companies with different employees or groups needing different overtime rules, like one on weekly overtime and another on daily.

How to configure overtime levels for an employee:

  1. Start by going to Settings > Time
    1. Overtime
      1. Allow Adjusted Overtime Rules For Employees (ON)

  1. Navigate to your employee profiles and selecting the user/s who require a unique level of Overtime
  2. Click on the Time & Attendance key
  3. Scroll down to Attendance
    1. Adjusted Overtime Rules > ON
    2. Overtime Period > Select from the drop down menu
      1. Input the employee's standard work hours (e.g. 40:00). Any time worked beyond 40:00 hours will automatically fall under Overtime 1
      2. If Overtime 2 is applicable, specify the number of hours the employee must work at Overtime 1 rates before they qualify for Overtime 2 rates (e.g. 02:00)
    3. Save your changes
      1. You can backdate your changes if these rules should apply to historical data
