Create, Edit and Remove Geofences

Geofences can be drawn and asigned to jobs in order to notify admins of clock ins not happening within the appropriate zone.

 

Create, edit, or remove a geofence

Open the ‘Map’ page using the navigation menu on the left.

Select the pencil icon to enter draw mode. Choose a drawing tool, then draw the geofence on the map:
  • Square geofence: Click the top left, then the bottom right corner.
  • Circle geofence: Click the middle, then drag your cursor to mark the radius.
  • Custom-shaped geofence: Click each turning point of the site. Make sure to finish the outline on the same point you started with to complete the full geofence.

Choose the date you want the geofence to apply from, confirm and select Save.

When saved, the geofence turns blue.

Edit the To edit or delete a geofence, stay in draw mode and select the geofence:
  • Edit the shape, then Save.
  • Or select the bin icon to delete it.

Tools

  • Custom: Draw a multi-point shape
  • Circle: Draw a circular geofence
  • Box: Draw a rectangular geofence
  • Grab: Move around the map
  • Bin: Delete the selected geofence
