Roster by Role Configuration

The Roster will display role requirements and allow different roles to be assigned to each employee. Learn how to configure roles by following this guide.

Configuration

Before assigning roles, they must be created in the settings

  1. Navigate to Settings and choose Overview.
  2. Activate 'Company Roles.'
  3. Click 'Add Role,' enter the name, and optionally set the pay rate. the active toggle indicates archived roles.
  4. Save the newly created role.
  5. Use the bin icon to archive a role. Use the 'active' toggle to view archived shifts.

Assignment

Roles are assigned to employees, and then set as requirements for each shift

  1. Employee Assignment
    1. Navigate to the employees page.
    2. Select the desired employee from the left hand menu.
    3. Open 'Time and Attendance' from the middle profile card.
    4. Assign as many roles as needed to each employee.
  2. Shift Requirements
    1. Navigate to the shifts page.
    2. create a new shift, or edit an existing shift and locate the Role Requirements toggle
    3. enable role requirements.
    4. select the number and type of roles needed for each shift, save the changes once completed.

Rostering

Roles will now drive the rostering experience with markers for relevant shifts.

  1. Access the Roster page.
  2. Ensure 'Shift' view is selected at the top left corner.
    1. Utilize the Role Requirement filter icon among the roster control options at the top right.
    2. Choose a shift and day displaying unassigned roles.
    3. Select suitable employees from the list to fill the roles.
  3. When using 'Employee' view
    1. You can optionally assign a role if requirements have been established..
    2. Roles assigned will now be visible on the employee roster page.
    3. Exported rosters will show employees their designated roles for the shift.
